New Milton sits on the south-western edge of where we cover, on the coast just east of Christchurch. The BH25 housing mix is varied. The town centre and the streets immediately around the High Street have a mix of inter-war semi and 1950s-60s estate housing. Concrete tile roofs from the 1960s onward are now reaching end of life; we see a steady run of full re-roof enquiries from this stock. Original timber fascias and gutters, where they survive, are nearly all soft and pulling fixings — strip-and-replace in uPVC is the standard recommendation.

Barton on Sea has substantial Edwardian and inter-war detached property along the cliff line. Coastal exposure is severe — these are some of the most weather-exposed roofs we ever quote. Wind-lifted ridges, salt-corroded lead, chimney mortar failure on the seaward face. Re-roof specifications need to take this seriously: dry-fix ridges and verges, code 4/5 lead minimum, marine-grade fixings throughout.

Hordle, Ashley and the inland villages have a mix of post-war estate housing and larger detached property. Standard tile, slate and roofline work on most of it.

New Milton is the absolute western edge of our regular travel area. We travel here for quoted work — full re-roofs, chimney rebuilds, complete flat-roof recovers and full roofline replacements.
